Jim Rhoads Action

Jim Rhoads Action is a band playing Power Pop (Mod, Punk, Power Pop) from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.

The bands works are most easily defined as mod or punk and are somewhat close to power pop.

'Action' CD ' revives memories of the Mod revival of '79' - abstract from Scootering Magazine (United Kingdom). Magazine article also said that the CD is 'absolutely brilliant, a strong contender for album of the month.'

All the instruments were played by Jim Rhoads and he also sang all of the vocal parts.

Jim was quoted saying that he do not use drum machines or keyboard sequences on his recordings, it's all just himself.

Jim Rhoads Action is a good PA Band that did well in the recently completed Garageband.com contest, it finished at 72.

When performing live it's not only Jim on the stage but there's a band of four - Jim Rhoads playing drums, guitar and bass and doing vocals; Doug Kimberling on keyboards, vocals, drums, and toys; Rick Bomberger on bass, vocals, trumpet, keys, drums; Steve Paules, guitar and vocals.

As you can see all members of this band are versatile in the instruments they play.
